Downregulate and upregulate.

Here’s step one: The day before. You need to Downregulate. This isn't just resting; it’s aggressively reducing dopamine and stress. No late-night emails, no doomscrolling. You’re putting your nervous system in 'Power Save' mode.

Step two: 10 minutes before you walk into the room. Now, we Upregulate. You want a controlled spike of energy and focus. Use breathwork, music, or movement to tell your body: 'It’s go time.'"

Downregulate to save the fuel; upregulate to burn it. That’s how you lead without burning out.
